FREE SESSION

Introduction to Mindfulness Based Living.

A free 2 hour mindfulness based living session for parents and carers  of a child or teen who is experiencing anxiety and potentially refusing or avoiding school.

Through mindfulness, learn how to support yourself and feel better able to support your child or teen.

Saturday 3rd May 2025

8.30 am - 10.30 am

This is for you if…

  • If you feel frustrated and constantly worried meaning constant researching for your child, maybe waking up at 3am and scrolling what to do or spending hours searching Facebook forums desperate for a solution.

  • You are emotionally exhausted and fatigued meaning that you’re snappy at times when you don’t want to be and struggling to manage the responsibilities you have in life with work/other siblings/your own health and wellbeing

  •  Struggle to put yourself first as there’s so much to do and you’re juggling so many balls.

 What are the outcomes?

  •  In this session you will learn how to…

  • Reduce levels of stress and overwhelm meaning you’re able to have the capacity to support yourself and your child and a much calmer house/family

  • Increase self-kindness and acceptance instead of harsh self-criticism meaning that communication is improved with you and your child and other people involved.

  • Acknowledge your efforts and limitations with compassion meaning you’re able to manage the situation much more calmly and positively.

  • Reduce guilt and build your capacity to support your and your family meaning you can build a future of greater stability, stronger relationships, and more opportunities for growth and well-being.

  • Realistic, simple and repeatable techniques meaning you will be able to easily implement them into your already busy days.

 What’s included in the workshop?

  • What mindfulness based living means and why practice it?

  • An exercise to reflect on our “automatic pilot” mode of living.

  • Settling the mind.

  • Reconnecting with the body.

  • Incorporating into your everyday.

  • Time for questions and connection.

Please note: Mindfulness is a very deep practice and takes a lot of time and practice to understand HOWEVER incorporating small practices of mindfulness into your everyday life can make a significant difference.

Important:

  • It is much better to attend this training live on Zoom as you will then be able to take part in the question and answer session which parents tell me is extremely helpful.

  • The day after the session, you will be emailed a recording of the training. You will only have access to the recording for 48 hours and only the training is recorded, not the question and answer session.

  • By signing up for this session, you are agreeing to be added to my mailing list. You will receive weekly emails with lots of helpful tips and resources. You will also receive a free downloadable copy of my “Gentle ways to open up communication with your child or teen”

  • Please check your spam and mark my email as safe if has accidentally gone there. You are of course welcome to unsubscribe at any time but hopefully you will find my emails informative and helpful.
